1. Stephens-Glazer House Built by Frazier M. Stephens about 1883 this was originally a one-story house that faced west. In 1896 it was enlarged to two storys with front entrance on the north side. Twice it nearly burned down, but was saved because neighbors formed a bucket brigade to bring water from the well. A son of the builder, Walter Stephens, lived here for many years. In 1978 it was purchased by Dr. Robert Glazer who has done restoration work on the house which has solid cherry woodwork in the parlor. 2. Stephens-Hindery House This house was built by John K. Stephens before the Civil War. The interior was finished with hand-planed boards. It has been the home of the W.D. Dukes family and the Tanner Davis family before it was purchased by Sheriff Lu Hindery, the present owner. 3. Hodges-Wershow House This house has had several owners since it was built by Edward Hodges about 1900. The columns were added at a later date and other changes were made. The land in this area was first owned by the Dell family when Florida became a territory of the United States. There is a Dell family burial ground near this house. It is said that John Bellamy stayed with the Simeon Dell family while building this part of the Bellamy Road in 1824. The present owner is the second generation of the Wershow family to live here.
